Lakeside Family Services (“Lakeside”) provides quality care to disadvantaged and distressed individuals and families in the community through casework and counselling, preventive and developmental programmes, as well as assistance to the needy. Started in 1993, Lakeside is one of the early Family Service Centres in Singapore. Lakeside serves children, youths-at-risk, families, the elderly, the incarcerated and ex-offenders, and the homeless through its two family service centres, one extension centre, a transition Shelter for the Homeless, and two Before & After School Care Centres. With a vision of changing lives and transforming communities, Lakeside Family Services offers a helping hand regardless of race, language, or religion.
The TENG Ensemble
The TENG Ensemble was started in 2004 as a pioneering ensemble group of young, like-minded and award-winning Chinese instrumentalists in the Singapore National Chinese Music Competition. The TENG Ensemble is the core ensemble of “The TENG Company” (TENG), a non-profit arts company that focuses on creating art and presenting it to the world. The TENG Ensemble today is a critically acclaimed group that bridges the traditional and contemporary with the use of technology. The ensemble’s works take inspiration from Singapore’s heritage and are presented in a way that is accessible, informational and educational, and representative of Singaporean culture and a Southeast Asian musical language.
By supporting TENG, we can play a part to help further the group’s cause to create cutting edge Singaporean work and to nurture a new generation of Singaporean musicians.
The TENG Ensemble Ltd. is a not-for-profit charity registered under the Singapore Charities Act.
